Executive Recruiting FAQ's - For Employers
How are your fees determined?
DerrJones provides clients with several fee options, including retained
search, contingency search, and a third fee plan that
combines the two. Regardless of the method chosen, fees are based on a percentage of the first year's cash compensation. Our
retained services are billed in three installments: one-third is billed when we initiate the assignment; one-third is billed in
30 days; the final third is billed in 60 days. Under the contingency method, the total fee is billed upon the candidate's acceptance
of an offer. The third plan provides for one-third of the fee to be paid upon initiating the assignment, with the
balance due upon placement.
Contract rates are negotiated based on a number of factors, including the duration of the assignment, the skills required,
and the contractor's desired hourly rate. DerrJones works with our clients to determine appropriate rates for the assignment,
based on market conditions.
Is there a benefit to selecting the retained option?
When DerrJones works on a retained basis, you are guaranteed dedicated resources to work on your assignment - and we continue to
give the assignment top priority until the search is completed. While DerrJones provides a guarantee on all placements, clients opting
for retained services receive an extended guarantee.
What is your guarantee policy?
DerrJones provides a 90 day guarantee on all contingency placements, and a six month guarantee on retained
assignments. If a candidate leaves to accept another position or is terminated during the guarantee period, DerrJones will
replace the candidate at no charge to the hiring organization.
